NanoCellect Partners with Filgen for Distribution of Cell Sorting Solutions in Japan

News | August 19, 2020

San Diego, Calif., August 18, 2020 — NanoCellect Biomedical Inc., a leader in the development and manufacture of microfluidic cell sorting solutions for cell-based assays, today announced a distribution and partnership agreement with Japan-based, Filgen, to distribute NanoCellect’s WOLF® Cell Sorter, N1 Single-Cell Dispenser, consumables and software in Japan.

NanoCellect’s simple microfluidic benchtop solutions allow researchers to analyze and separate biological samples one cell at a time, enabling researchers to isolate cells or populations of interest from the rest of the sample more gently than conventional technology.

“Partnering with Filgen is an important milestone for NanoCellect as we expand our East Asian distribution network. Filgen’s expertise in the sales and support of scientific research instrumentation makes them an ideal partner to fulfill our goal of serving Japanese researchers.” said Dr. Will Alaynick, VP International at NanoCellect Biomedical. “Among many cell sorting applications, the WOLF’s sterile and gentle sorting makes it an attractive fit for Japanese researchers who have led the field in stem cell reprogramming.”

“It is our mission to provide Japanese customers with the cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the enhancement of advanced research. We are confident that gentle cell sorting and single-cell dispensing with NanoCellect’s unique and innovative microfluidic cell sorting technology will greatly contribute to the single-cell genomics analysis, antibody discovery, and genome editing in Japan. We are proud of offering WOLF and N1 to the Japanese scientific community by partnering with NanoCellect.” said Hidekatsu Yoneda, President and COO at Filgen, Inc.
