WOLF Cell Sorter Accessories

The WOLF cell sorter has several accessories that provide additional capabilities to the instrument

N1 Single-Cell Dispenser Accessory

A module for the WOLF Cell Sorter to sort and dispense into 96-well or 384-well plates.

Applications requiring the isolation, sorting and dispensing of single cells, such as B-cell identification for antibody discovery, or monoclonal CHO cell line development, are now easier with the N1 Single-Cell Dispenser. Additionally, single-cell genomics assays can be performed where single cells are plated directly into PCR plates.

Users can select one population of cells for single-cell deposition into 96- or 384-well plates or choose two different populations of cells for bulk cell sorting. Each well of a 96- or 384-well plate can receive anywhere from 1 to 100 cells as they are sorted from the sample.

The N1 Single Cell Dispenser is seamlessly integrated into the intuitive software. Select single-cell deposition mode, map out your plate, and the instrument is ready to go. The WOLF cell sorter and dispenser work together to deliver plated cells in a compact and affordable format. After sorting, data from each cell is indexed well-by-well, allowing for confirmation of the plated cell.

Wolf Cell Sorter Accessories

The N1 single-cell dispenser is ideal for a multitude of applications including single cell cloning and works seamlessly with the microfluidic-based WOLF cell sorter for easy single cell isolation, single cell analysis, and cell line development. The gentle low-pressure sorting mechanism and single cell manipulation preserve cell viability through the sorting process and provide higher outgrowth of healthy clones. Reduced stress via gentle microfluidic cell sorting (low throughput) process also avoids potential adverse gene expression or karyotype changes experienced with a traditional cell sorter.

The WOLF uses a small fraction of the sheath fluid used by traditional sorters, allowing users to use growth media as sheath. Using growth media as sheath greatly improves cell viability for cell isolation, FACS (fluorescence activated cell sorting) and overall flow cytometry analysis.

The WOLF provides 5 parameters for analyzing and sorting cells. When combined with the N1 Single-Cell Dispenser accessory, it allows higher rates in single cell detection in wells compared to cell printers or limited dilution methods.  Deposition above 90-95% are routinely observed.

There is no need to be a flow cytometry expert in order to use the WOLF. The software interface is intuitive, user-friendly and simple. There is no fluidics cart, and the optics are fixed – resulting in less complexity, less clean-up, and more time for experiments.

Compared to a traditional flow cytometry lab setup, the robust, portable, sterile, and safe benchtop system can be used in any lab without the need for dedicated hoods, venting, or personnel. Light enough to be moved and shared. Small enough to have both the WOLF and the N1 single-cell dispenser placed in a biosafety cabinet.

Nanocellect’s customer service is fantastic, and the WOLF cell sorter works exactly how I had hoped. It is perfect for our project.

The NanoCellect team and technical specialist have been awesome. After two test runs with very involved training/assistance, we have been very pleased with the results. The equipment is intuitive and the sorts have been very clean.
