Dear Valued Customer,
This letter is to inform you of changes to products that you have purchased in the past 18 months. The purpose of this communication is to notify you of two upcoming product changes to our WOLF® Microfluidic Sorting Cartridges. Part I of the product change notice will provide information related to a change in labeling associated with cartridge serialization to provide complete component traceability. Part II of this notice will provide information regarding an upcoming design change to our WOLF Microfluidic Sorting Cartridges.

Part I: WOLF Microfluidic Sorting Cartridge Labelling
Description of Change: All of our cartridge products will be moving from a 9-digit serial number (e.g., 123 456 789) to a 23-digit serial number to support complete component traceability.
Reason for Change: The new 23-digit label serialization is a part of our commitment to continued quality improvement providing complete traceability of all components used in cartridge manufacturing.
Impact: All WOLF Cell Sorter systems come standard with a barcode scanner capable of reading the new 23-digit label serialization barcode.
WOLF G2 Cell Sorters utilize RFID technology to capture cartridge information and do not require the use of a barcode scanner.

Date of Label Change: Customers may start receiving cartridges with the new 23-digit serialization label during the month of June depending on inventory levels.
Reliability/Qualifications Summary: The new cartridge label has been tested for label utility and performance.
Statement of Equivalency: The new 23-digit label provides complete traceability of all components used to manufacture our cartridge products and presents no change to product performance.
Part II: WOLF Microfluidic Sorting Cartridges
Description of Change: A portion of our cartridge manufacturing process required the use of a film that was prone to surface defects. The new cartridge design eliminates the use of the film, allowing for a more consistent product
Reason for Change: The new cartridge design is more robust and eliminates the possibility for surface defects seen with the previous manufacturing method creating a more consistent product.
Impact: Customers will see no difference in the performance of the new cartridge design. The new cartridge design is equivalent to or exceeds all product performance specifications.
IMPORTANT: The new cartridge design will require WOLFViewer Software Version 3.2 or higher. You be unable to use the new cartridges unless you have WOLFViewer 3.2 or higher. Date Change: We will continue to offer WOLF Microfluidic cartridge products until all remaining inventory is depleted, after which the current products will no longer be available. We estimate products will be exhausted by mid October 2023. There will be no last time buy opportunity for these discontinued cartridge part numbers, as the new cartridges have equivalent or better performance.
Reliability/Qualifications Summary: The new cartridge design has been subjected to and passed verification and validation testing that is standard for our cartridges
Statement of Equivalency: The new cartridge design is equivalent to or exceeds the previous cartridge design in performance. There is no additional change to the type of materials used in the manufacturing of the new cartridges. There is no change to product expiration, storage requirements or to your workflow.
